Otak adalahorgan vital yang mengontrol pikiran dan tindakan kita. Karena itu, harus dijaga baik-baik. Bagaimana cara menggunakan otak secara maksimal? Simak tips dari Nurcahyo Adi Kusuma, pendiri Mind-Tune Up Center berikut:
- Berdasarkan fungsinya, otak terbagi dua belahan, yakni otak kiri dan otak kanan. Penggunaan salah satu fungsi yang terlalu dominan akan menyebabkan kita jenuh. Jadi, jika kita terlalu banyak berbicara, seimbangkan dengan bersenandung atau mengaji Al-Qur'an misalnya.
- Suplai oksigen ke otak sangat penting. Oleh karenanya, biasakan melatih pernapasan. Caranya, hirup nafas dalam-dalam dan hembuskan perlahan. Senam pernafasan dilakukan dengan relaks dan sesuai dengan kemampuan. Senam pernafasan juga bermanfaat untuk melancarkan peredaran darah dan zat yang dihasilkan dari proses aktivitas tubuh.
- Saat punya masalah, lakukan hal menyenangkan agar tubuh dan pikiran menjadi santai. Misalnya menonton TV, mendengarkan musik dan lagu, atau melakukan aktivitas lain yang disukai.
- Lakukan relaksasi saat bekerja. Misalnya, pejamkan dan bayangkan hal-hal positif, atau dengarkan musik yang tenang sambil melakukan pekerjaan.
- Orang tua harus memperhatikan keseimbangan kerja otak kiri dan kanan anak-anaknya. Jangan bebani anak hanya untuk mengeksplorasi otak kiri. Seimbangkan dengan mengeksplorasi kemampuan otak kanan, misalnya belajar kesenian dan keterampilan. Dengan terbiasa mempelajari hal-hal yang mengeksplorasi dua belahan otaknya, anak tidak akan mudah cemas dan stress. Insya Allah
